JAGUAR MARK II

Saloon 3.8 MOD (1961)
Here at Agusta we are thrilled to have this stunning piece of British automotive history….a 1961 Jaguar MK2 3.8 Manual/Overdrive.

Finished in Ivory White with Deep Red leather interior and Burr Walnut inlays. Covering a reading of just 44000 miles from new with a documented history ! This beautiful example has been previously owned by a pilot who absolutely cherished it with no expense spared.

Brought into the UK in 1992 from South Africa, the car underwent a full rebuild and respray, and since then has been further enhanced by The Vendor with a five-year rolling restoration, resulting in a spectacular blend of original charm and modern refinements.

Electrical and Mechanical Systems:
New windscreen wiper motor
Upgraded to a new electronic fuel pump and alternator

This restoration represents a significant investment of time and money, making this Mk II sound and visually stunning.

The Jaguar Mk II is celebrated as one of the most iconic sports saloons of the 1960s, embodying Sir William Lyons advertising slogan of “Grace, Space, and Pace.” This 3.8-litre model, equipped with manual transmission and overdrive, delivers exhilarating performance, courtesy of its XK engine, a close relative of the legendary E-Type powerplant.

This 1965 Jaguar Mk II 3.8 is a truly exceptional example that has been fully restored and thoughtfully upgraded along with a thorough history file. This example is an ideal candidate for collectors or enthusiasts seeking a classic Jaguar that is visually stunning and with plenty of work already done. Opportunities to acquire a Mk II of this caliber, with such a high level of restoration work are not easy to come by, making this an unmissable offering.
