DAIMLER SOVEREIGN

Saloon 4.2 (1980)

We are delighted to have this simply beautiful 1980 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Automatic for sale. Finished in sumptuous metallic blue coach lined in Gold with Tan leather interior & Walnut inlays.
This rare Daimler has covered a low 57000 miles from new in its 44 years on the road with a full documented service history and of course now being a historic vehicle it is MOT & Tax exempt however its last mot was no advisory and has covered hardly any mileage since.

The Series III XJ6 range, which was released in 1979, was visually distinguished from the Series II by its new thicker bumpers, the removal of separate "quarter-light" windows from the front doors, and a revised rear roofline featuring a slightly more angular c-pillar. The Series III range initially continued to include a Daimler Sovereign, but in 1983, during the run of the Series III, the range was renamed with the base model named the Jaguar XJ6, the more luxurious version named the Jaguar Sovereign, and the top-of-the-range simply known as the Daimler, without a model name

This example is faultless throughout and has been part of a private Jaguar/Daimler collection until recently where this particular car Sat pride of place with magnificent bodywork and an unmarked interior with all chrome work, Switch buttons and dials are in pristine condition. Mechanical the sovereign in also faultless with the renowned Jaguar 4.2 can barley be heard and with effortless gear changes…really this car drives and feels like new!! A one off example not to be replicated.

These are proving great investments and more than that a classic/historic British car that you want to drive as well as admire
